Web sales of computers and electronics have the lowest growth of any product category, but the e-retailers on the Hot 100 grew their sales 34% over the last year by satisfying the demands of technology shoppers.



Why They're Hot:

There it is, staring right at a consumer when he pulls up RadioShack.com: The 24/7 customer service number in the top-left corner, not buried like the contact information on so many e-commerce sites. The chain's retail site also stands out for other seemingly small features including breaking down its top-page navigation into popular categories such as cell phones and accessories; enabling consumers to click a link to learn their eligibility for mobile phone upgrades via various carriers (the retailer rewards consumers who upgrade through its site with $5 coupons); and a do-it-yourself project center that shows what consumers have made using products bought at RadioShack. The site also displays at the top of each page the chain's latest deals and weekly ads, along with a store locator.
