This year’s hot 10 mobile retailers have responded to the increasingly mobile consumer with hot new features in designs for their m-commerce sites and apps, along with in-store mobile device deployments.

Mobile accounts for 68% of Jackthreads.com's traffic and more than 50% of its revenue. The vast majority of the retailer's mobile sales come from its iPhone app, which is designed to provide all the elements needed for mobile shopping, and nothing that's superfluous. That app and the equally impressive new iPad app will generate $33.3 million of the e-retailer's $37 million in 2013 mobile sales, according to the 2014 Internet Retailer Mobile 500. "The most successful aspects of our app design are utility and simplicity," says Jason Ross, founder and CEO. "It's about looking at the data to see what's driving conversions and leaving everything else out. In mobile, people only need a few simple elements: easy product discovery, robust product details and imagery, and a simple route to checkout."
