For the past year custom men's suit e-retailer Indochino.com has operated temporary pop-up shops that open for two to three weeks in cities throughout the United States and Canada. At the shops, which Indochino calls its Traveling Tailor, men can get their measurements taken and touch and feel the fabrics available from Indochino.com. At the store, an associate saves each consumer's preferences and measurements in an online profile so that the consumer can go online, shop or reorder at his leisure, knowing that his custom suit will fit. He can also prebook a visit to a pop-up shop through Indochino's e-commerce and m-commerce sites. "We try to make a location near a financial district so people can pop in on their lunch break easily," says Indochino events manager Kendahl Cardinal.
