Frog Trader Inc.’s Tadpole Golf Corp. is launching a web site where consumers can buy used Callaway Golf Co. golf clubs. Golfers who buy new Callaway clubs at selected test stores will receive a credit on the purchase if they trade in their existing Callaway clubs, which will then be sold on the site.
Those clubs will go through a rigorous inspection process before being accepted and warranted by Tadpole Golf, then designated "Certified Preowned." Tadpole Golf will verify serial number authenticity as well as shaft, head and grip condition, photograph each club, and give each club a unique Certificate of Authenticity. Golfers can buy the clubs at www.callawaygolfpreowned.com.
Test markets for the program will be Edwin Watts and Golfsmith stores in Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, Austin, TX, and Columbus, OH.
