ColdwaterCreek.com gave shoppers the fastest high broadband access time among large web retailers for the ninth month in a row, says Gomez Inc. In October, ColdwaterCreek.com produced a high broadband response time of 5.02 seconds.
AmwayGlobal.com had the next best response time with 6.78 seconds, followed by Scholastic.com (6.84 seconds), Dell.com (6.99 seconds) and Overstock.com (7.02 seconds). For shoppers using a dial-up connection, AmwayGlobal.com provided the fastest web site response time at 50.22 seconds.
In October a shopper with a high broadband connection could access a Top 50 retailer’s web site in an average time of 10.08 seconds, compared with 26 seconds for a low broadband connection and 62.05 seconds for dial-up.
