Mobile Messenger expands executive suite in preparation for 2010

Mobile Messenger, a multimedia mobile marketing and advertising firm, has appointed Edward McCormick senior vice president of human resources and Israel Niezen senior vice president of strategic marketing and business development.

“Ed and Israel have both held key positions at very successful mobile and marketing companies. They bring many years of leadership and industry expertise to their new roles,” says Michael Iaccarino, president and CEO of Mobile Messenger. “We are dedicated to recruiting top talent and building a team of leaders who will have a tremendous positive impact on the future of our brand and the progress of the mobile industry.”

The company is expanding its management team to capitalize on the growth opportunities it sees unfolding in 2010. The company’s development plans include launching new products and moving into new markets. Despite the economic downturn, the company says it has had strong growth so far this year and expects that to continue in the fourth quarter and into 2010.

Most recently, McCormick served as senior vice president of human resources at Epsilon, a marketing technology company. Prior to Epsilon he operated his own human resources consulting business and held leadership roles at companies including Bellsouth Mobility DCS, Alliance Data and Acuity Brands.

Prior to joining Mobile Messenger, Niezen directed strategy and business development at Telescope Inc., where he launched solutions to help television brands and advertisers use targeted mobile communications to generate new revenue streams and acquire new customers. Before Telescope, he held client development roles at mobile media companies Motricity and Goldpocket Wireless, with a focus on promoting, distributing and monetizing mobile content.
