CircuitCity.com posted the best rating in Gomez Inc.’s high broadband availability tests for September. Web shoppers could access the consumer electronics site, which re-launched in May as a unit of Systemax Inc., 99.30% of the time last month.
The average availability for the top 50 retailers in September was 94.13% for high broadband, 87.20% for low broadband and 60.22% for dial-up, Gomez says.
Rounding out the top five results for high broadband availability were TigerDirect.com (99.29%), Macys.com (99.24%), Zappos.com (99.23%) and Newegg.com (98.98%). Like CircuitCity.com, TigerDirect.com is owned by Systemax.
Zappos.com also had the most consistent low broadband availability at 95.80% and Amazon.com had the most consistent dial-up availability at 87.06%.
