More foreign e-retailers are looking to the U.S. market, vendor says

A push into the lucrative U.S. online market has netted outsourced e-commerce fulfillment vendor Webgistix Corp. e-retailer clients on five continents, with merchants based in other countries now representing nearly 20% of its business, the company says.

More international companies are looking for fulfillment assistance as they ramp up their online marketing efforts in the U.S., according to Joseph DiSorbo, president. “We are one of the few truly global providers of e-commerce order fulfillment,” DiSorbo says, adding that the company now has operations in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The company’s fulfillment solutions can trim delivery time to U.S. consumers from weeks to days for overseas merchants, he says.

“Selling into the world’s biggest consumer market is finally a viable option for countless e-retailers,” DiSorbo adds. Among the international e-commerce sites now selling into the U.S. on Webgistix’s platform are Fragrances of Ireland, a large independent perfume house, and Forzieri, a retailer of luxury items from top international brands such as Armani, Prada and Fendi.

Retailers from such countries as Thailand, South Africa, Japan, Singapore and Australia use Webgistix’s fulfillment services, the company says.
