CircuitCity.com came out on top of Gomez Inc.’s high broadband availability tests for the second month in a row in August. Web shoppers could access the consumer electronics site, which re-launched in May as a unit of Systemax Inc., 99.44% of the time last month. The web-only retailer’s July availability was 99.71%.
The average availability for the top 50 retailers in August was 96.67% for high broadband, 88.92% for low broadband and 68.09% for dial-up, Gomez says.
Rounding out the top five high broadband availability list were Zappos.com (99.39%), Macys.com (99.33%), AmwayGlobal.com (99.31%) and TigerDirect.com (99.30%).
Zappos.com had the most consistent low broadband availability at 95.99%.
