
Shoebuy.com steps up its traffic —eBay, however, isn’t so lucky
Consumers love their stilettos and sneakers, at least if recent traffic data from Nielsen Online is any indication. Shoe e-retailer Shoebuy.com posted a whopping 43% rise in traffic in May to a total of 2.36 million unique visitors compared to 1.64 million a year earlier. Meanwhile, eBay clothing, shoes and accessories fell the furthest—48% to 5.81 million unique visitors compared to 11.18 million a year earlier.
The top 10 online apparel and beauty shopping destinations in May with unique visitors in millions this year compared with a year earlier and the percent change, according to Nielsen Online, were:

Unique visitors count only once each shopper who came to a site, no matter how many times the shopper visited. This is a custom list compiled by Internet Retailer of the top e-commerce sites in this category based on Nielsen Online data. Rankings may contain multiple web sites from the same retailer or manufacturer.
