LC E-Commerce Solutions introduced E-ComBanner this week as an on-demand application that lets online retailers deploy shopping cart-linked banner displays of products on any web page within their own sites or third-party sites, the company says.
“E-ComBanner is designed to be a user-friendly and immediate solution for creating online shops,” says Barclay Layman, LC E-Com partner. “It is easy to set up and use, provides customers and site visitors real-time update of products available to purchase, and can be deployed and managed from anywhere.”
Two early users of the E-ComBanner, leather products retailer BrettunsVillage.com and gifts and gadgets retailer HeaterHolder.com, have each deployed the application as a way to expand the reach of their existing shopping carts, a spokesman for LC E-Commerce says. But the E-ComBanner is also intended for small retailers who don’t already have an online shopping cart, he adds.
LC E-Commerce charges a monthly fee of $57.50 to deploy E-ComBanner with up to five products and integration with PayPal and Google Checkout; fees rise as products are added in increments of 10. The company is currently waving a start-up fee of $575.50.
LC E-Commerce says the E-ComBanner is intended to be the entry-level product of its Tacoma suite of expandable and buildable e-commerce platforms. The company also offers the BoutiqueShop, which is a fully functional online store platform that can be used as a stand-alone e-commerce shop or fused into an existing web site. Planned product releases of LC E-Commerce’s FlagShip and MallStore platforms will provide complete turnkey enterprise-level online stores capable of handling up to several hundred thousand products, built with Adobe Inc.’s Adobe Flex technology, the company says.
