To meet growing international demand for customer ratings and reviews technology, Bazaarvoice has opened an office in Paris—its third overseas location—the company says. The Paris office is headed by Kamal Kirpalani, a veteran business development executive in European and other international markets.
Bazaarvoice’s first client of the Paris office is France-based Fnac, a distributor of products including books, CDs, micro-computers and photography equipment, which is replacing an in-house application with the Bazaarvoice Ratings & Reviews system. “We hope to improve our conversion rate, customer loyalty and average order value, while reducing the number of returns and site abandonment rate,”says Xavier Flamand, director of Fnac Direct
Austin, TX-based Bazaarvoice, which also operates offices in London and Singapore, supports 20 languages. Other international clients include Boden, Early Learning Center, Dell, Goldsmiths, Figleaves.com and Timberland UK.
“Customer demand for authentic, relevant user-generated content is universal and global,” says Bazaarvoice founder and CEO Brett Hurt. “With this demand, Bazaarvoice is rapidly growing overseas.”
