IRCE 2008 sets new registration record

The four-day Internet Retailer 2008 Conference & Exhibition, which begins Monday, June 9, at Chicago McCormick Place West, has signed up more than 5,000 registrants, 25% more than attended IRCE 2007 a year ago and an all-time record attendance for any e-retailing event.

“More people will attend IRCE 2008 than will attend all other e-retailing shows combined this year,” says Internet Retailer publisher Jack Love. “The growth of this show reflects the overall growth of e-retailing itself." Love explains that attendees will come from every state in the Union (except North Dakota) and from 25 foreign countries, including such major web retailing markets as Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, South Korea and the U.K. as well as such emerging markets as Vietnam and Ghana and such established but smaller markets as Israel and Luxemburg.

The conference features 140 expert speakers in 77 conference sessions, including four day-long workshops and two days of main conference sessions. The show will also feature the largest display of e-commerce solutions in history. Its 130,000-square-foot exhibition hall has been sold out for months with 326 exhibiting companies covering every type of e-retailing solution.

E-retailers and others can still sign up for the conference online at IRCE.com and pay pre-conference registration rates that apply until midnight Friday, June 6. Thereafter, on-site rates, which are $100 higher, will be charged. Late registrants unable to make the cutoff can sign up online at McCormick Place West.
