When it’s done the right way, a site redesign can make a significant contribution to an online retailer’s top and bottom line.
For instance, CPA2Biz.com, No. 326 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, credits its recent site makeover as a key factor in generating higher sales and net income for fiscal 2007.
For the year CPA2Biz.com is reporting net income of $2.3 million on sales of $17.1 million, compared with net income of $1.7 million on revenue of $15.7 million in fiscal 2006. “The redesigned site has been re-engineered to give finance professionals enhanced navigation and search, extensive product information, peer recommendations, and faster checkout,” says CPA2Biz.com CEO Erik Asgeirsson.
