E-commerce provider Solid Cactus promotes three to executive spots

Solid Cactus Inc., provider of web design and e-commerce services, has promoted Philip Gaughan to vice president of sales. He will be responsible for managing store development sales, software as a service, call center services, outbound sales and Internet marketing. He had been director of sales for store development.

Solid Cactus also has named Kurt Illian, one of the company’s original employees, vice president of marketing. He will be responsible for all marketing, including print, radio, TV, online and corporate identity. Among his duties at Solid Cactus has been director of e-commerce, where he managed 40 online e-commerce stores for Solid Cactus’ sister company, Neeps Inc. before they were sold in May. Illian replaces Sean Gove, who has been chief marketing officer and is relocating but will remain on the company’s board of directors.

In addition, Solid Cactus has named Jonathan D. Tenenbaum executive vice president and general counsel. Tenenbaum joined the company in October 2006. Tenenbaum also will be responsible for the Protected By Cactus line of products which includes web site copyrighting, trademark registration, and Digital Millennium Copyright Act filings upon the discovery of infringing uses of customer content.

Based in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Solid Cactus offers web design and e-commerce services; advertising services, including search engine marketing, pay-per-click and affiliate program management; and other services, such as call center, back-end order management, print design and consulting.
