Internet Retailer announces IR2006 speaker faculty

Internet Retailer today announced its faculty of 75 e-retailing experts who have been chosen to address the Internet Retailer 2006 Conference & Exhibitin Chicago on June 5-7, 2006 (see table below). The theme of IR2006 is "Taking E-Retailing to the Next Level" and all 45 conference sessions will address a wide variety of e-retailing strategies, practices and trends from the perspective of the major leap forward that Internet Retailer believes the e-retailing industry will take as it embarks on its second decade. Complete details and online registration for the conference at discounted early-bird rates are now available at the IR2006 Conference & Exhibition web site.

As was the case with the breakthrough IR2005 Conference, the speakers for IR2006 have been chosen by the editors of Internet Retailer based on their unique expertise on the particular e-retailing topic they will address and not because they represent a conference sponsor or industry association. As such, the speaking faculty is distinguished by its independence and objectivity as well as by its e-retailing knowledge and leadership.

The speaker faculty at the IR2006 Conference & Exhibition also reflects Internet Retailer's multi-channel approach to e-retailing because it draws e-retailing leaders from every corner of the online retailing industry, including retail chains, catalog firms, web-only merchants, direct-TV marketers and consumer branded manufacturers--all of which use the web to merchandise directly to consumers as well as to link their growing number of retail channels. The chart to the right shows the make-up of the IR2006 speakers by their primary industry.

The table below is the current complete list of speakers at IR2006, and by clicking on their names, IRN subscribers can view any speaker's bio and a description of his or her session topic. Subscribers are also invited to browse the complete IR2006 Conference web site by clicking here.
