Biblio’s book selections more than double in year

Asheville, NC-based Biblio.com, a marketplace for sellers of used, rare, and out-of-print books, reports that its listings have exploded to 20 million titles from 9 million a year ago. Biblio.com represents 2,850 used booksellers in 24 countries.

It launched in February 2003 and is the third largest online seller of used books after Abebooks.com and Alibris.com. It hosts more than 1 million unique visitors a month.

Biblio.com hosts 500,000 searches on its site each day, reports Kevin Donaldson, director of sales and marketing. Customers purchase an average of 1.67 books.
