Darrell Porcher is responsible for application development and quality assurance for Sony Electronics, Direct Business Systems including Sony Style. Darrell leads web development for SonyStyle.com, one of Sony's largest, direct e-commerce properties, where he is responsible for software and system infrastructure. He is charged with the next generation of the platform and integration with the Sony Style brick-and-mortar retail operation and network-enabled products. He manages a worldwide team of software developers, architects and systems engineers. Previously, Darrell was lead developer supporting marketing for Sony web properties. Prior to Sony, he was a business manager for Disney/Capital Cities, ABC, financial magazine division. Responsibilities included financial reporting, sales forecasting, financial modeling and logistics for a CD-based, credit analysis subscription product for banks. Darrell studied chemical engineering at City University of New York.
