| Day One: Jan. 31, 2008 |
1:45 - 2:30 p.m. How to get feedback to help with your redesign Mayer Gniwisch,
President & Co-Founder, Ice.com / Diamond.com Kevin Ertell,
Vice President, E-business, Borders Group Inc. Sometimes the best way to find out what consumers think makes a retail web site user friendly is to ask. In fact, more than half of retailers in a recent Internet Retailer survey on site design and usability solicit feedback from customers on their designs. This session will feature two ways of gathering feedback—conducting extensive A/B and multivariate tests on web sites and asking for it via surveys and in-person usability sessions. Our first speaker is president of jewelry retailer Ice.com. He will discuss how Ice employs different methods of testing before, during and after launch to make sure Ice's web sites are meeting customers' needs. Our second speaker engages in extensive testing and usability sessions. He will describe how in-person feedback has improved his company's web site. |
