Senior Art Director, Internet, Crate and Barrel The science of site design is all well and good—but consumers are attracted by beauty. Thus successful web sites have some element of art to them—a stunning photo on the home page, a pleasing arrangement of product shots or some other element that grabs the shopper's attention. This session features a retailer who will talk about the aesthetics of a web site: what makes a beautiful site, how far to go in emphasizing beauty over functionality and how to know what your audience will relate to when it comes to beauty shots on your home page. |
