Carl provides Blueport Commerce, formerly Furniture.com, with strategic and product leadership. In 2001, Carl led the effort to purchase Furniture.com's assets and launch the firm as an e-commerce solutions provider. Carl started at Furniture.com in 1999 as the original b2c company's senior vice president of product development, overseeing the company's web site design, merchandising, and direct marketing as the company grew from $3 million to $84 million in annual sales.
