Which m-commerce strategy is right for you?

Mobile commerce will happen—have no doubt about that. Retailers will be forced to develop a mobile commerce strategy. The question is: Which one? The choice is not easy as there are at least six approaches a retailer can take. 1) Do nothing. 2) Tweak the code of your site with mobile-friendly style sheets. 3) Build a mobile-optimized shopping site. 4) Create a downloadable mobile application. 5) Enable consumers to purchase products via text messages. 6) Some combination of 3, 4 and 5. This is one session where you will want your mobile phone turned on. Our speakers this session will explain the approaches, point attendees to mobile sites they can view on their phones, explain the benefits and drawbacks of each as the audience views the sites, then help retailers sort through which ones work best for them and lay out implementation scenarios for each. |
