Boris Wertz joined Abebooks, the online marketplace for new and used books, when it acquired JustBooks, a German company that he co-founded. At JustBooks, he was responsible for marketing, business development, IT and expansion into the UK and France. In 2002, Boris joined Abebooks headquarters in Victoria, BC, as vice president, marketing & business development, and was promoted to COO in 2003. He has a doctorate in business economics and management from the WHU Graduate School of Management, Koblenz, Germany, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Ecole de Management, Lyon, France.
