Howard Tong has been a Newegg.com Vice President since 2001. Newegg.com, a pure-play e-retailer of computers and consumer electronics, is one of the fastest-growing online merchants in the country. According to Internet Retailer's Top 400 Guide, Newegg online sales doubled in 2004 to $1 billion, making it the nation's ninth largest e-retailing business, a position it achieved in just four years of operation. Howard is credited with developing Newegg's initial e-commerce business model and with helping the company to become Internet savvy. He is also responsible for designing and launching several of the company's state-of-the-art logistics centers. From 1998 to 2001, Howard served as General Manager and later Vice President of Marketing of ABS Computer Technologies, Inc. Howard has a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
