Coldwater Creek adds a new chief marketing officer to its ensemble

Deborah Cavanagh comes from apparel retailer Loft.

Women’s apparel retailer Coldwater Creek Inc. has hired Deborah Cavanagh as its senior vice president and chief marketing officer. She starts on Sept. 16 and reports to Jill Dean, president and CEO.

Cavanagh was most recently senior vice president of brand marketing at Loft, where she oversaw Loft becoming a separate brand from Ann Taylor Loft. Prior to Loft, Cavanagh was the associate publisher of creative services at Vogue. She has also held marketing roles at several media brands, including Harper's Bazaar, Men's Health, Condé Nast Traveler, and Self.

"I am excited to join Coldwater Creek and to be part of the revitalization of this brand,” Cavanagh says. There is an opportunity to continue to reengage our core customers and connect with new ones through strategic and creative marketing campaigns."

Coldwater Creek is No. 133 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Loft is a division of Ann Inc., No. 88 in the Guide.
