Advance Auto Parts Inc. has a new information technology chief. Donna Justiss has become senior vice president and chief information officer for the online-only seller of automotive parts that holds the No. 400 spot in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

In her new job, Justiss will oversee such I.T. areas as application development and support, infrastructure and information security. She reports to Mike Norona, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

“With more than 20 years of I.T. experience, Donna brings a rich and diverse set of talents to the CIO role,” Norona says. “Her technical knowledge, leadership skills, collaborative approach and commitment to driving outcomes will be key assets to Advance’s IT team as they work to continue providing systems and support to help our stores and team serve our customers better than anyone else.”

Justiss won promotion to her new job from her former position as interim chief information officer, a post she assumed in September. Advance Auto Parts said it hired her in 2005. Prior to that, she worked at drugstore chain Eckerd Corp. in various information technology jobs. She also spent 19 years at J.C. Penney Co. Inc. in information technology and accounting jobs. The retail chain is No. 34 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.
