Micros Launches a Site for Delta Hotels

Micros’ e-commerce team partnered with Delta, one of Canada’s largest independent hotel brands.

Columbia, MD – June 18, 2013—MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, continues to expand its interactive marketing presence with the recent launch of the Delta Hotels and Resorts’ website.  The new website provides seamless integration to the MICROS OPERA Property Management, OPERA Central Reservations, and OPERA Customer Information solutions that Delta has utilized for many years.

MICROS’ eCommerce team partnered with Delta, one of Canada’s largest independent hotel brands, to transform its website from a marketing focused site with a loyalty program component to an eCommerce transactional processing system. The new design offers increased guest personalization that better showcases Delta’s signature membership program. The website utilizes improved categorization of content, allowing users to sort by both applicable interest area and by property location.

“We are impressed with MICROS’ strength in eCommerce and its forward thinking user experience and design expertise,” stated Piero Iamundo of Delta Hotels and Resorts.  “The new Delta Hotels and Resorts website has exceeded our expectations and provides a dynamic channel by which to increase conversions.”

“We are pleased to launch our partnership with Delta Hotels and Resorts for its interactive marketing needs,” stated John Gularson, Executive Vice President, MICROS eCommerce. “We look forward to providing support to the Delta eCommerce team in the areas of special promotions and special interactive enhancements, as well as supporting the member brands with eCommerce initiatives.”
