(NYSE: PBI) in theUnited Kingdom. Pitney Bowes‘ international mail services activities encompassinternational mail logistics and distribution services for customers to over 215countries.
The acquisition strengthens Asendia's market position in the United Kingdom, a keymarket for the company, and confirms Asendia's strategy for development and growthin cross-border mail.
The acquisition will allow customers in the United Kingdom to benefit from a widerrange of high quality, value-added products and services for international mail fromtwo of Europe's leading postal operators, and access to an extensive globaldistribution network to reach new international markets.
The acquisition expands Asendia's capacity and opens up significant businessopportunities, in particular, increasing growth and market share in cross-border ecommerce,catalogues, direct mail and press and publishing.
