Members-only e-retailer ideeli Inc., which sells women’s fashion and décor items via limited-time sales, has hired Stefan Pepe as CEO.

He takes over a position that had been vacant since Paul Hurley, the retailer’s founder, left the job in October. Hurley, who also relinquished the role of president in October, is now chairman of the retailer’s board of directors.

From June 2011 until October of last year, Pepe had been general manager of revenue at social gaming company Zynga Inc., according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to Zynga, he worked at Gilt Groupe Inc. where, most recently, he was chief product manager, according to LinkedIn. He worked at Amazon.com Inc. from 1998 to 2009, holding a variety of positions, including North American books and magazines director and U.K. and German rentals and subscriptions director.

At ideeli, Pepe will work with the retailer’s president, Bob Rosenblatt, whom the retailer hired in October.

Launched in 2007, ideeli has more than 6 million members and sells items from 1,000 brands.

Ideeli is No. 172 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, Gilt Groupe is No. 49 and Amazon is No. 1.
