Costco, Overstock and Apple top January availability ratings

Costco and Overstock led IE availability tests while Overstock and Apple led for Firefox.

Costco.com and Overstock.com had the best availability scores in Internet Explorer testing among large retailers measured in January, says Compuware Gomez. Last month, the two retailers posted 100% availability in Internet Explorer tests. Apple.com and Overstock.com led Firefox availability tests with 100% availability.

HPShopping.com came in third place behind Costco and Overstock in Internet Explorer tests with 99.99% availability. Amway.com and Toysrus.com tied in fourth at 99.98% availability.

In Firefox testing, Macys.com and Williams-Sonoma.com tied for third place, following Apple.com and Overstock.com with a 99.99% availability score for the month. HPShopping.com came in fifth at 99.98%.

The average Internet Explorer availability score among the 22 retailers measured in January was 99.75%. The same group of retailers produced an average Firefox score of 99.72%.

Availability is determined by the percentage of tests in which the retailer’s web site loads correctly.
