AUSTIN, Texas – Jan. 8, 2013 – Starmount today announced that Perry Ellis International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PERY) successfully piloted Starmount's mobile POS solution at 17 Perry Ellis stores in time for the holiday shopping season. Most of the 17 pilot stores went live before Black Friday, enabling Perry Ellis sales associates to provide a higher level of customer service during the busiest shopping days of the year.
This initial deployment is part of a chainwide rollout of Starmount Connect and Engage that will be completed in the first quarter of 2013. When fully deployed, the Starmount mobile POS and mobile selling solutions will help Perry Ellis increase the level of customer engagement throughout the store, enabling associates to use mobile devices for product and price lookup, product recommendations, clienteling, and to provide access to customer loyalty information. One key capability, for example, is if an item is out of stock in the store, sales associates can check inventory and fulfill the order from other channels or store locations, without leaving the customer's side.
