Amazon and Williams-Sonoma top November availability ratings

The retailers led Internet Explorer and Firefox availability tests, respectively.

Amazon.com had the best availability score in Internet Explorer among large retailers tested in November, says Compuware Gomez. Last month, the retailer posted 100% availability in Internet Explorer tests. Williams-Sonoma.com finished atop Firefox availability tests at 99.99%.

Toysrus.com and Williams-Sonoma.com finished tied for second behind Amazon.com in Internet Explorer tests with 99.99% availability. HPShopping.com was next with a 99.98% availability score and Costco.com came in fifth at 99.96%.

In Firefox testing, four retailers (Amazon.com, Costco.com, Gap.com and HSN.com) tied for second place behind Williams-Sonoma.com with 99.98% availability scores for the month. HPShopping.com was next at 99.96%.

The average Internet Explorer availability score among the 22 retailers measured in November was 99.53%. The same group of retailers produced an average Firefox score of 99.75%.

Availability is determined by the percentage of tests in which the retailer’s web site loads correctly.
