Blyth Inc., an online retailer of candles, home décor and related products, has appointed Robert Goergen Jr. to the newly created position of president and chief operating officer.
He has worked at Blyth since 2000—Blyth said he led its web initiatives—and he will remain as president of the company’s PartyLite Worldwide brand, a job he won earlier this year.
“While continuing to execute specific initiatives at PartyLite, Rob, in his expanded role of president and chief operating officer, is also charged with ensuring that Blyth achieves its vision of delivering an outstanding customer experience across all of its businesses, with unmatched product offerings and superior customer service,” says CEO and chairman Robert Goergen. “Moreover, having Rob focus more broadly across Blyth's operations allows me to concentrate my efforts on critical non-operating activities, including Blyth's capital structure.”
Blyth sells through such brands as Two Sisters Gourmet, ViSalus Sciences, As We Change, Miles Kimball, Exposures, Walter Drake and Easy Comforts.
