Dell and Apple lead May response time tests
Dell and Apple posted the best Firefox and Internet Explorer response times, says Gomez.

Dell.com and Apple.com produced the best high broadband access times among 22 large web retailers tested in May, according to Compuware Gomez. Last month, Dell.com posted the fastest response time in Firefox tests with an average web site load time of 1.04 seconds. Apple.com finished atop last month’s Internet Explorer testing, with an average load time of 0.90 seconds.
LLBean.com finished second in Firefox tests at 1.08 seconds, followed by Apple.com and Overstock.com (tied at 1.25), and OfficeMax.com (1.46).
Dell.com also finished second in last month’s Internet Explorer response time tests with an average load time of 1.37 seconds. Costco.com (1.38), OfficeMax.com (1.41) and HPShopping.com (1.53) followed.
In May, the average large retailer’s high broadband response time for a shopper using Firefox was 1.89 seconds, the Gomez study shows. The average Internet Explorer response time among the same group of retailers last month was 2.03 seconds.
