NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 5, 2012) – edo, the leader in personalized card-linked offers, today announced the appointment of Jeff Sippel to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, Sippel will oversee the strategy, planning and execution of the systems that power edo’s unique card-linked offer platform. Sippel brings to edo more than 15 years leading software product development strategy and operations for major global brands, including Orbitz Worldwide.

edo is the card-linked offer platform for marketers and merchants looking to connect online advertising with in-store results by delivering personalized offers through consumers’ credit, debit cards and mobile devices. edo brings unique insight into consumer spending behavior to give marketers more clarity and measurement and consumers instantly redeemable discounts tailored to their shopping habits. “Jeff joins edo at a pivotal time for the company, as we’re on the brink of truly revolutionizing how consumers shop and save, fulfilling a pressing market need for better targeted offers that are personalized to consumer behavior,” said Ed Braswell, CEO, edo. “A perfect addition to our executive team, I am confident that Jeff will provide the technology leadership needed to unlock the power of our card-linked offers platform and arm marketers with the ability to drive customer acquisition and loyalty.”

Prior to joining edo, Sippel served as vice president of engineering and vice president of product strategy at Orbitz Worldwide, where he transformed IT operations and developed long-term strategies for product marketing and distribution. Previously, Sippel was a technology consultant at Ernst & Young, specializing in Web brand and mobile technologies.

“edo is transforming the way consumers interact with retailers and financial institutions,” said Sippel. “In the coming months, we’ll be perfecting our technology platform and services so they’re even better positioned to meet the needs of a growing category that combines the payments and advertising industries.
