Overstock hires a marketing executive from Coldwater Creek

Timothy Dilworth becomes Overstock’s senior vice president of marketing.

Overstock.com Inc. has hired a senior vice president of marketing. Timothy Dilworth comes from Coldwater Creek, where he had worked since 2000, most recently as senior vice president of marketing. He also was vice president of marketing and e-commerce for the company.

At Overstock, Dilworth will define and drive all marketing activities, the retailer says.

"We're very pleased to welcome Tim to the Overstock.com team," says Patrick Byrne, chairman and CEO of Overstock.com. "Given Tim's background and experience, we expect he will make an enormous contribution to our company."

Mass  merchant Overstock is No. 27 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Coldwater Creek, which sells women’s apparel, is No. 93 in the Top 500.

Sam Peterson, Overstock’s senior vice president, technology, website and merchandising, will speak at the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition 2012 in Chicago in a session entitled “The key to tablet owners' hearts: apps.
