Shoutlet, provider of the most comprehensive social marketing software available, today announced a significant update to its platform, Shoutlet 5.0. The new version marks a pivotal shift in the way the company is responding to the next wave of complex social marketing technology: “trigger-based campaign publishing.” For the first time, marketers can apply synchronized actions to campaigns across multiple social networks, making for a more holistic, easily managed approach to campaign planning and execution.

The new features in Shoutlet 5.0 make social marketing of branded content instinctive and more sophisticated than any other social marketing offering on the market. The platform enhancements are aimed to help customers maximize social campaign influence, reach, and engagement by providing industry-unique tools for planning, content creation, user data acquisition, social segmentation, and analytics.

New features in Shoutlet 5.0 include:

  • Social Switchboard™ – The first to apply sophisticated campaign planning and execution functionality to social marketing, Shoutlet’s new Social Switchboard uses pre-scheduled markers and milestones to trigger automatic changes to content across multiple social networks. For example, if a brand wanted to send a Tweet, launch an entirely new Facebook Tab, or deliver a coupon as soon as a predetermined number of contest entries were received, the system would auto-push any multitude of responses.

“We’re looking forward to the triggered campaign tools in Shoutlet 5.0 – being able to create customized dynamic and triggered programs gives us the opportunity to focus our efforts on our consumers and provide the one-on-one human interaction that so often gets lost when brands get involved with social media,” said Rebekah King, Senior Manager, Consumer Communications for Kelley Blue Book.
• Social Canvas™ – Responding to the need for more content and creative flexibility, Shoutlet now provides users with professional-level creative tools for Facebook page design and custom web app creation. Traditional restrictions have been eliminated in favor of seamless overlays, drag and drop templates, buttons, effects, images, and videos, allowing marketers to quickly develop and push creative content, or enable one-touch social sharing options like Pinterest, without having to write a single line of code.

“Social Canvas feels like Photoshop for Social. We’re amazed at how sophisticated it is and we're very excited about how easy it’ll be to create new content and pages,” said Sarah James, Digital Marketing Associate for Readers Digest.
  • Social Profiles – Shoutlet’s acclaimed Social CRM solution has been made even more powerful with the addition of unprecedented social data acquisition and interest segmentation via its new Social Profiles functionality. This new feature gathers information on user preferences, interests, frequency of engagement, and general receptiveness for re-marketing so brands know who cares about what when it comes to products and promotions.

“Shoutlet 5.0 is another step towards having a single platform being able to manage every aspect of your social media presence,” said David Carrillo, Creative Editor of SEO for The Search Agency. “I’m particularly excited about Social Profiles, which will allow you to create a detailed customer information database based off of all the different networks a person has interacted with you on. As social intelligence becomes more integral to online success, Shoutlet 5.0 is a toolkit you’ll definitely want to have in your arsenal.”

“Our vision from day one has been to arm our customers with the tools they need to build and manage powerful social campaigns, allowing for easy and intuitive content creation and giving them real-time and accurate user analytics to better plan fan interaction,” said Jason Weaver, CEO of Shoutlet. “With Shoutlet 5.0, we are doing just that with relevancy marketing at the core, providing customers with a wealth of information generated by features like Social Canvas, Social Profiles, and Social Switchboard. These tools combined are optimizing the way brands are communicating with fans and significantly enriching those relationships.”

It’s action that matters, not the label

Jamie Nordstrom doesn’t use the term omnichannel, but the retail chain gets the concept.
