Netflix Inc.’s fall from investor grace might be reversing. The entertainment content provider, No. 13 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, saw its stock gain 24.53% in value last week following the company’s announcement that Netflix subscribers watched more than 2 billion hours of streaming entertainment programs in the fourth quarter.

But Netflix still has a long way to go, as its share price remains only a third of what it was in July before it announced a plan to raise prices by splitting its online streaming and DVD-by-mail services into two companies. The company ultimately retreated from that plan, but lost 3.3% of its U.S. subscribers in the third quarter, sending its stock plummeting.

Overall, the Internet Retailer Online Retail Index, which tracks the stocks of 25 online retailers and e-commerce technology and service providers, gained 1.29% last week. Other stock sectors also posted modest gains, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 1.17% and the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index advanced 1.61%.

Daily deal provider Groupon Inc. this week joins the roster of companies tracked by the index, while DemandTec is removed because of IBM Corp.’s acquisition of the company.

Here are the best-performing stocks last week in the Online Retail Index and the percentage increase in stock price for each:

• Netflix, 24.5%

• NutriSystem, 18.7%

• U.S. Auto Parts Network, 9.2%

• Amazon, 5.5 %

• Vitacost, 5.3%
