H20 Plus upgraded several design elements of its site in late 2010 as it moved to a new e-commerce platform, hosted by MarketLive Inc. The new site offers improved and all-new product images and descriptions. As a result of these changes, shoppers are spending more time on H2OPlus.com, says Jim McLaughlin, vice president, business development at the maker and retailer of cosmetics manufactured from sea-based ingredients. Results from the first quarter of 2011 included a 39% increase in average time shoppers spend on the site and a 41% increase in average page views compared with the prior year quarter. “The consumer requires more information than ever, before she makes a decision,” McLaughlin says. “We wanted to address that shift in consumer behavior.”
