Sur La Table puts relevant deals right in front of a shopper. When a consumer mouses over a category in the top navigation bar of SurLaTable.com a flyout displays the site’s subcategories, as well as a large image highlighting a related promotion. The featured product’s image and text stands out distinctly from the rest of the text. The retailer also employs flyouts to enable consumers to search for products in a variety of ways, such as by product type, brand or top-rated favorites. Product pages feature large images that, when moused over, let the consumer zoon in on a product for a look at its details. And, in addition to basic product descriptions and features, the page also enumerates the benefits of the product and why the retailer carries the manufacturer’s goods.
