Saks Fifth Avenue offers its web shoppers many ways to view and buy products on Mousing over images on category pages enables a consumer to examine several views of each product. With many items, she can also click the Play Video button to see a video of a model strutting down the runway wearing the item. After viewing the product she can also click a Quick Look button to complete her purchase without having to move to a product page. The department store’s Fall Edit section offers shoppers a curated selection of products and articles that match the store’s high-end aesthetic. For instance, one recent article featured an interview with shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood about the ideas that inspired his fall collection. The same page features a link to his merchandise.
