Michael Amburgey will lead e-commerce and brand management for the weight loss products retailer.
Nutrisystem Inc. has named a new leader for its online business.
As executive vice president and chief marketing officer Michael Amburgey will manage the weight loss products retailer’s marketing team and be responsible for e-commerce and brand management, Nutrisystem says.
Amburgey takes over for Christopher Terrill, who resigned from Nutrisystem in April to become CEO at ServiceMagic Inc., an online service that links consumers and home improvement contractors.
Amburgey has more than 28 years of marketing experience and was most recently chief marketing officer for vacuum cleaner manufacturer and retailer Oreck Corp. Prior to Oreck, Amburgey served as vice president of marketing and direct response sales at exercise equipment maker Nautilus Inc. He also held marketing and brand management roles at pharmaceutical firm GlaxoSmithKline plc and personal care products manufacturer Procter & Gamble Co.
