QVC and Apple post best September response times

QVC and Apple posted the best response times in September Internet Explorer and Firefox testing.

QVC.com and Apple.com produced the best high broadband access times among 19 large web retailers tested in September, according to Compuware Gomez. Last month, QVC.com posted the fastest response time in Internet Explorer tests with an average load time of 1.11 seconds. Apple.com finished atop last month’s Firefox testing with an average of 0.58 seconds.

Dell.com finished second in Internet Explorer tests at 1.14 seconds, followed by Overstock.com (1.21), Williams-Sonoma.com (1.23) and Apple.com (1.27).

Dell.com also finished second in last month’s Firefox response time tests with an average of 0.70 seconds. Overstock.com (0.89) came in third and was followed by LLBean.com (0.93), and QVC.com (1.00).

For the month of September, the average large retailer’s high broadband response time for a shopper using Internet Explorer was 1.59 seconds, the Gomez study shows. The average Firefox response time among the same group of retailers last month was 1.51 seconds.
