Global marketing agency iCrossing Inc. has appointed Doug Bryan as vice president of analytics. He will oversee a team of analytics and strategy personnel to help retailer clients improve marketing efforts, iCrossing says.

Bryan co-founded OptiMine Software, an advertising optimization software provider. Also, from 2003 to 2004, he led a team at Amazon.com Inc. that was responsible for recommendations data for products and customers.

"Doug’s industrial-strength analytics background equips iCrossing and its clients with the needed skills to address the increasingly complex digital marketing landscape,” says Adam Lavelle, chief strategy officer. “Doug’s leadership will help guide our already market-leading analytics team to what’s next."

Some of iCrossing retailer clients include paint manufacturer Benjamin Moore & Co., No. 937 in Internet Retailer’s Second 500 Guide, beauty products brand Mary Kay and cooking products retailer Williams-Sonoma Inc., No. 25 in the Top 500 Guide. Amazon is No. 1.
