CommerceInterface Hires a Director of Sales and Business Development

Jason Utgaard will be in charge of helping suppliers seamlessly integrate their products using the CommerceInterface Web-based platform.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – AUGUST 15, 2011 – As the new Director of Sales and Business Development, Jason Utgaard will be in charge of helping suppliers seamlessly integrate their products using the CommerceInterface Web-based platform.  His responsibilities include working with existing suppliers to further develop their multi-channel online selling strategies, helping them expand their product lines into more categories and introducing new suppliers to the company’s state-of-the-art interface.

Utgaard is a former Merchandising Manager at O.co (previously Overstock.com) that understands how to synchronize supply-side business needs with online retail-side strengths. At O.co, he helped manufacturers to develop their product lines, and to determine what to sell and why. He is particularly astute at evaluating a supplier’s product offering and their main selling points.

“Now I’m kind of the middleman,” says Utgaard. “I know what each of the channels’ strengths are and can help suppliers become more efficient. It’s really about helping them find success on the different channels.”
