NPA Gains UK Market with Automated Credit Checks

Seattle, WA — August, 18, 2011 — US-based National Processing of America, Inc. (NPA) has developed a new way to process credit applications in the UK market using Satori Software’s MailRoom ToolKit Architect contact data quality software.
NPA provides consumer credit loans to a network of merchants in the US, UK and a number of other foreign outlets. When entering the UK market, NPA needed an identifier that would allow it to locate an applicant’s unique credit history. A home address appeared to be the best solution, but lack of a standard address format in the UK was a problem. According to Tim Valdez, Director of Foreign Markets at NPA, UK customers would often place multiple address lines in a single field on the credit application web form. Then the address wouldn’t match the record on file with the various UK credit reference agencies.
To sort out the addressing problems, NPA adopted MailRoom ToolKit Architect, an integrated data quality solution. The application corrects and standardizes addresses so they can be matched to corresponding credit history records.
“Since installation MailRoom ToolKit Architect has been running like a champ,” says Valdez. “Integration with our own technology was seamless; you almost forget Architect is there working in the background. We’re glad it is, because without address management, expansion into the UK market would have been impossible.”
