QVC’s mobile site, m.QVC.com, produced the fastest iPhone access time among large web retailers in June, says Compuware Gomez. Last month, m.QVC.com logged an average iPhone mobile response time of 1.60 seconds.
M.Newegg.com was second in iPhone testing with 2.07 seconds, followed by Amazon.com (2.96 seconds), Williams-Sonoma.com (3.34) and Dell.com (3.44).
QVC’s mobile site also led in response time tests for the three other mobile devices measured by the performance monitoring firm in June: Sprint’s HTC Hero (1.81 seconds), T-Mobile’s HTC Dream (3.34 seconds) and Verizon’s Droid (1.96 seconds). Amazon’s mobile site finished second in testing for the HTC Hero (3.60 seconds) and the Droid (3.80 seconds).
Gomez measures response time as the end-to-end time elapsed while downloading each mobile site.
