Overstock.com had the best Internet Explorer consistency score among large retailers tested in June, says Compuware Gomez. Last month, Overstock.com had the most consistent site loading time with a variation of 0.54 seconds. Dell.com (0.73 seconds), placed second in Internet Explorer tests, followed by Williams-Sonoma.com (0.76), Costco.com (0.98) and OfficeMax.com (1.03).

Dell.com had the best Firefox consistency score in May, with an average variation of 0.68 seconds, Compuware Gomez reports. Overstock.com (0.75 seconds), OfficeMax.com (0.80), Costco.com (0.88) and OfficeDepot.com (0.97) rounded out the top five.

The average Internet Explorer consistency score among the 16 retailers measured in June was 1.46 seconds. The same group of retailers produced an average Firefox score of 1.74 seconds.

The consistency ratings take into account differences in the speed of web page delivery across multiple visits.
