Electronics retailer Pixmania will deliver a multichannel non-food web site in a number of European countries for French mass marketer Carrefour Group, No. 12 in the Internet Retailer Top 300 Europe, which operates e-commerce sites, supermarkets and convenience stores.

Through the Carrefour site, which uses Pixmania’s e-merchant platform, customers will have access to a range of non-food products—including electronic appliances, photo, video and audio—from Carrefour’s existing product range, as well as from Pixmania’s catalog. Pixmania will also support a marketplace platform for Carrefour customers to access products from other merchants.

“This new partnership marks a major step in the development of Carrefour's multichannel strategy,” says Lars Olofsson, CEO.

Pixmania’s e-merchant platform already is in use by Currys, PC World and Dixons, No. 10, web sites. Pixmania has operations in 26 countries and offers services in 17 languages.
