QVC’s mobile site, m.QVC.com, finished with the best composite score among large web retailers for mobile performance in May, says Compuware Gomez. Gomez tests 15 large retailers every month for mobile response time, availability and consistency for four mobile devices: Apple’s iPhone, Sprint’s HTC Hero, T-Mobile’s HTC Dream and Verizon’s Droid.

Last month, m.QVC.com produced an average mobile response time of 2.19 seconds, an availability score of 99.57% and an average consistency score of 2.01 seconds, giving the retailer the best overall average across the four mobile devices.

Amazon’s mobile site finished second in the rankings with an average response time of 4.79 seconds, an availability score of 99.72% and an average consistency score of 4.26 seconds. M.Newegg.com placed third with an average response time of 4.47 seconds, an availability score of 99.55% and an average consistency score of 3.89 seconds.
